Wedding Card

So I'm a bit stuck in wedding mode lately as my fiance and I plan our wedding. At our yearly stamp escape, we each bring a shoebox make and take and this was mine. The hearts were punched out of Bride and Groom specialty paper and jazzed up a bit to resemble a tux and gown. Since I didn't have any Silver cardstock on hand, I used the platinum shimmer paint to spritz grey cardstock and give the background a nice subtle sparkle. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the ribbon is Whisper White Organza.
Happy Stampin!

Rubber Cement

Rubber cement, it's not just for holding stuff together! To create this really cool background look I drizzled rubber cement over glossy white paper, let it dry and used a brayer to cover the paper with black ink. Then I used a paper towel to wipe the excess ink off of the rubber cement, then wipe off the rubber cement and voila, a really cool looking background!

Sale-a-bration

These are two of the four card designs available to create as part of my Last chance to Sale-a-Brate class next week. Both cards use the FREE SAB Vintage Label set in the clear mount option. I am totally loving the clear mount stamps!! It's really nice to be able to see through the block to line up images. The "Happy Birthday" card also uses the new Scallop Trim Border Punch, the first punch ever to be available free as part of Sale-a-Bration! March 31st is the last day to order and receive free Sale-a-Bration items with every $50 of merchandise ordered. Visit my website and click the Shop Now button to place your order before this sweet deal is gone for another year!

Vintage Vogue

These are two very different examples of cards that can be made using the Vintage Vogue stamp set. It is available in the Occasions Mini catalog in either Clear Mount or Wood Mount.

Quilt Bag

We made these bags at our yearly stamp retreat, this year renamed to the stamp escape. This quilt bag was a surprise from sistas Sera and Angie. We cut 18 squares with the Scallop Square die for the Big Shot. Then pinned the squares together with batting in the middle. My favorite part about this bag is that it is reversible! I used a different print for the inside of the bag so the look totally changes just by turning it inside out. How cool is that?! I already have fabric to make two more bags, maybe next time I'll try adding some pockets. Though that may push the limits of my sewing abilities! Happy stampin'

Finally Spring.....

though it doesn't feel like it yet here in Minnesota! After a very long hiatus of holidays, wedding planning and spending time with family and friends I finally have time to blog again, yay :) I saw this magnetic board on Angie Kennedy Juda's blog and absolutely had to try it. Boy is this a fast and easy project! The metal is galvanized step flashing covered with the new Sweet Pea designer series paper. The magnets were made by layering Old Olive Die Cut Blooms with Barely Banana cardstock and lacquered with Crystal Effects to stiffen the paper. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes for ribbon and a Crop-a-dile corner muncher to round the corners, getting rid of dangerous sharp corners. This whole project came together so quickly I made two more using the Cottage Wall designer series paper. Guess my Mother's day gifts are done! Happy stampin!
