These are the four projects for my upcoming classes featuring cards and a post-it-note cover designed for Mom. In trying to use up my stash of colors which will retire on July 1st, I have been breaking out of my routine and trying new and fun color combinations. Though I really don't know what to do without Mellow Moss. It's such a great compliment to Perfect Plum. Oh well, hopefully I will be so in love with the new colors it won't matter :)
This past week Stampin' Up! announced their Color Renovation. The color families we all know and love are in for a major shake up with the release of the new catalog! Old In Colors are returning, new colors are being added and other colors are being bid a fond farewell. Click here to see the new color collections. Each year five new In Colors will be added, BUT the In Colors will be around for two years!!! How exciting is that?!
After making the scallop square rag purse I decided to try my hand at some scallop envelope Easter baskets. Well it was a real learning experience! I cut small squares out of patterned fabric and put batting between the fabric and felt to give the basket support. Batting between layers of felt also gives the handle stability. We filled the baskets with animal crackers, gummy worms, chocolate eggs and a stuffed animal. We did a small treasure hunt with clues from the Easter Bunny and the baskets were the prize at the end! Hope everyone had a great Easter! Sarah
