Guy card

It seems like no matter how experienced the stamper, creating a card for a guy is difficult. For me personally, I find these cards the most challenging type to make. I fell back on the trusty set Lovely as a Tree and Old Olive and Chocolate Chip cardstock. The tree was inked in Creamy Caramel and "thumped" with Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust and Close to Cocoa markers. I love the multicolored effect thumping adds to an image. Hope this helps someone looking to make the perfect card for the special guy.

Post convention party swaps

Becky created this really cool card using the Dasher stamp and the movers and shapers die with the curly label insert. I just love the dasher stamp, what a versatile stamp and it's less than $10!

Heidi uses another under $10 stamp, Little Boo, with some of the Cast-A-Spell designer series paper to create a super cute Halloween card. It's hard to believe Halloween is just around the corner! Summer has really flown by this year.

Angie used the new background stamp Medallion as the focal point for this card. She stamped on the back of the vellum cardstock with the in color Soft Suede and finished off the card with Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon. As always, the cards from this swap are awesome!! I will post more another day, my computer may just explode if I try to do more tonight! Thanks for looking!

New Catalog Swap

This is the swap I came up with for our post-convention party this coming Monday. I was inspired by this card and changed the layout to work with what I had on hand. Supplies: Dusty Durango and Soft Suede cardstock and ink, modern label punch, word window punch, little leaves sizzlit, flower daisies #2 die, perfect details texturz plate and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Once we swap I'll post some of the other sistas cards. Check out the Simply Sweet Sistas blog on the left for their convention experiences. They had an awesome time and I can't wait to hear everything they learned come Monday! Thanks for looking.

Sample Wedding Invitation

A couple of weeks ago I was asked to create a sample wedding invitation. The bride's color is lavender. Here's what I came up with after much internet searching for ideas. The colors are Lavender Lace and Old Olive. I used Fifth Ave Floral and Ever After stamps sets with the eyelet border punch. Thanks for looking!

Convention swap

Here is the swap I made for convention. Even though I am unable to go, darn job, some of my stamping sistas have graciously offered to take swaps for those of us left behind. I cased this card from Splitcoast, thanks for the idea! I used the new in colors Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzelberry, which I think is my new favorite color! Off to go put in my pre-order from the Holiday Mini! I can't wait to get my hands on those cool new products. Have a great night!

Here's a couple of tags from a set I made as a gift a little while back. The stamps are from the level 3 hostess set Kind & Caring Thoughts and Animal Stories. I used the new In Colors Crushed
Curry and Dusty Durango on the lion. Thanks for looking!

It has been a LONG time since my last post, but I'm back! I needed to focus on studying for my final exam before graduating with a Master's degree in forensic science. Just took the exams today and fingers crossed everything went well. Whew, what a relief to be done!!
So now it's time for fun and playing, woo hoo!! Here's a card I made for a girl's baptism. I love the combination of pink and brown for a girl's card. The giraffe is colored using watercolor pencils and a blender pen. Thanks for looking!
